SAP is a business software that can be customize according to the requirement of the SAP users.  SAP provides both function as well as technical modules. The technical module such as Advance Business Application Programming (ABAP) that helps in generating various queries as per the business requirements. However the functional module such as Sales & Distribution (SD), Material Management (MM), Human Resources (HR), Finance & Controlling (FICO), and Production & Planning (PP) are used to perform day to day business transactions.  SAP is being used in many organization today because of its ability to integrate various application where each application represent a specific business area such as planning, manufacturing and distribution. These integration helps in easy transfer of data between application help in automatically updating the business process in SAP system.  SAP provides a common platform for these modules to perform various business activities.
